The Landscape - Why Now?

We are on the cusp of a fungi revolution where fungi are being used across a broad spectrum of applications. Our initial focus is on Health.

There is a global need and shift toward natural, sustainable and local health solutions with a prduction that support climate resilience.

There is an unprecedented demand for functional and adaptogenic products in Europe, yet most mushroom extracts still come from distant markets like China, which European mushroom production is still focused on catering for the Food Industry.

The Fungi Group is seizing this opportunity in building a local, vertically integrated supply chain to deliver higher quality, compound rich, effective, traceable, and sustainable extracts for Europe and beyond.

The global mushroom supplements market size was valued at USD 26.7 billion in 2021 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.8% from 2022 to 2030 to est $67.2 billion by 2030. Europe has been identified as a key growth market so should come in higher.
